Sometimes we find the most daring conceptions, which question our idea of reality not in any movie nor in any story. Black holes play an important role in astrophysics and in modern science. They are the most mysterious objects in the universe. Over the years they became even more strange and fascinating when scientific research expanded its knowledge about black holes. Sometimes it seems they are the bridge between imagination and science. Since Stephen Hawking developed his groundbreaking ideas it seems possible that black holes are much more than unusual objects. Their existence is related to the most fundamental questions about reality and perhaps, one day, they explain even mysterious events on Earth.
The biggest mystery which is real
Unlike many supernatural phenomena, almost any scientist agrees that black holes exist. Recently there had been photographs of a black hole too. The event horizon telescope did this 2019 combining the most advanced technologies. There had been discoveries of black holes before. However, scientific proof was more or less indirect. Black holes are supermassive objects and therefore they bend gravity. Black holes are one of the most mindboggling things in the universe and troubled masterminds as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.
Mind-bending discoveries
Stephen Hawking originally doubted the existence of black holes. Later, he gained the most important insights about black holes we know. The questions he raised have a philosophical dimension. Black holes are super-massive objects with enormous gravitational force. Not even the light can escape a black hole. In the 70ties Hawking discovered that they are not black at all, they emit particles. This should make them finally disappear.
The biggest problem however is what happens to matter and what happens to information, which falls into a black hole. Does the black hole crush information? According to Stephen Hawking this is not possible. This led to the „information paradox“ that has puzzled scientists for decades. The official opinion of scientists is that the universe keeps „a kind of a log of what it contains“ even an object is completely swallowed up in a black hole. However a black hole crushes any information. According to Hawking this is not possible because then it would be able to delete „parts of the past“, which can’t be since the past tells us who we are.
Black Holes may a route to another universe.
Stephen Hawking who died in March 2018 published a ground-breaking study in 2016 in „Physical Review Letters“. Since 2015 he assumed that anything „that falls into a black hole shouldn’t give up hope to coming back out –somewhere“. The original information paradox was solved by the theory that information is stored on the boundary of the black hole. But what happens to things that fall into the black hole? Hawking suggested that in a large, rotating black hole anything would reappear somewhere else, perhaps in a parallel dimension – a large rotating black hole might have a passage to another universe.
Window To Other Dimension
New research suggests even more mind-boggling possibilities. Science is speculating for a long time about miniature black holes which could be created in colliders like the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland. In scenarios the creation of bigger black holes may allow the exploration of the geography of extra dimensions.
Steven Giddings, a professor of physics, said: „Black holes are perhaps the most profound and mysterious objects we’ve imagined.
Black Holes And The Supernatural
Black holes inspire the imagination. However, even miniature black holes might appear when cosmic rays hit the atmosphere it is very unlikely that there are some hidden black holes somewhere on Earth. Nevertheless, there are mind-bending possibilities with implications about the paranormal. Filmmaker Chris Nolan explored the most breathtaking ideas in his epic Sci-Fi masterpiece „Interstellar“. Astronauts not only use a black hole for interstellar travel but Matthew McConaughey as astronaut Cooper explores the 5th dimension and travels into the past. There he can create paranormal phenomena.
„Neil deGrasse Tyson, an astrophysicist, who explored the science behind the ending of Interstellar, concluded that it is theoretically possible to interact with the past, and that „we don’t really know what’s in a black hole, so take it and run with it“ (https://www.salon.com/control/2014/11/19/neil_degrasse_tyson_explain_the_science_behind_the_ending_of_interstellar/).
There are still many open questions about the nature of black holes. Like dimensional rifts they might be our connection to the otherworld. The most intriguing fact is it’s all real. That also opens up a new quality about phenomena, which we don’t understand and we formerly doubt to exist.
Could somebody somewhere in spacetime, perhaps in a parallel universe, use a black hole to conduct some influence on Earth? Ufo’s are said also to be windows to another reality. Perhaps we should consider even the weirdest possibilities.
Black holes are riddles. But they may hold also the answer to our deepest questions.
